After much deliberation and an amazing competition, it’s Blippar that took home the first place prize today in London!
Hojoki won second place.
Teleportd won third place.
LeWeb London’s startup competition attracted over 600 applicants.
At LeWeb, the 16 chosen to participate gave their presentations and competed for finalist spots. There would only be 3 chosen.
Then, the 3 finalists went on to pitch on the main stage to an expert panel with Kevin Rose, Kevin Systrome, Phil Libin and Ethan Beard.
Blippar went first presenting their image layering and augmented reality application.
Next was Hojoki, showing off their cloud app syncronization solution.
Last was Teleportd, which lets you real-time relevant crowd-sourced photos from the smartphone generation.
The judges all asked very hard questions, and all of the startups handled them really well.
Thanks again to all of the startups who entered the startup competition!
You can watch the entire competition, and all the talks from Le Web London in HD on our Youtube page.
Congrats to all of our winners, and to Blippar for taking home the grand prize!
Working on a new startup? Maybe we’ll see you in Paris.
