What are the eligibility rules to the Startup Competition and Startup Tour?

Your startup must meet the following requirements:

  • Product or service, B2B/B2C, any industry
  • Less than €1.5M (US$2M) of fundings
  • Startups less than 3 years old
How many finalists will be selected to the Final December 9-11, 2014?
This year, 20 startups will be invited to compete at LeWeb’14 Paris and pitch on stage for the Finals. The winners of each regional competition will have
reserved spot as finalists, but the majority of startups will still be selected
via our regular Startup Competition application form.
How many startups will be selected to pitch in each city of the Tour?
Up to 10 startups will pitch on stage of each chapter. The winning startups of each chapter will join the final in Paris December 9-11, 2014.
May I directly apply to the Final? Even if I’m not selected to the Startup Tour?
Yes, just like previous editions of the Startup Competition, you may directly apply to the Startup Competition December 9-11. 2014. You have until October 5
to submit your application.
May I apply to both the Startup Tour AND the Final?
Yes, after applying to a chapter in a city near you (Berlin, Stockholm, Paris, Barcelona) you may also apply to the Final to multiply your chances.
